This clock is worth every penny and any wait!!! Upon receiving we were immediately impressed with the packaging! We wanted to keep it because it was so pretty and well presented :) The clock itself is SLEEK - we have the black style. It feels like a feat of engineering, with a beautiful casing and robust design. The knob feels great, and the simplicity of setting and changing the alarm time is awesome, it takes no time at all. The clock can get completely dark with a click, which is an awesome feature add. Most importantly- the chime is fantastic, it is such a peaceful way to wake up as it slowly builds and wanes in volume, it feels so natural but never fails to wake us. In fact, as we were packing to see family on the east coast for the holidays, my husband asked if we should pack the alarm clock because he loves it so much. I said no... for the sole reason being I don't want to risk its injury in travel! We couldn't be bigger fans of this product, so here I am sharing the good news! Ware eager to see what other products are to follow this one :)

What’s in an alarm clock? They’re all functionally one thing: a timed noisemaker. But the nature of the noise and how good it feels to interact with, particularly at a time in the circadian rhythm that is less than pleasant, is a huge differentiator for alarms for me. The chimes that the Arc peals out each morning are soothing and consistent. The stop and snooze buttons are easily searched for in the dim of the morning. I find the sonic “weight” of the buttons’ click is satisfying, even as an ASMR averse person.
So in its actual functional measure, it’s a solid 10 of 10.
As a consumer I tend to like products that appeal to my sense of style and vanity, without ignoring materiality or longevity. Fast fashion or chipboard furniture can fulfill style, for example, and a metal battery-powered analog alarm clock will fulfill longevity, too.
The Arc does both. It’s heavy in the hand, and my time following the project tells me this is made of quality materials and thoughtful workmanship. Stylistically it treads softly across the threshold of midcentury futurism and modern scandi simplicity, which is a design realm that I aspire to align my living and relaxation spaces towards. I am seriously pleased at how well this has fit my life and style, and thus far with nothing but utter consistency and understated reliability.

I ordered this alarm clock through Kickstarter in February 2023. It is the first time I ever backed a product but I knew when I saw it that it would be worth the wait. Now, nearly two years later, I can confidently say I was right. It was worth every month, day, hour, minute, and second.

I used it for the first time today, and waking up has never been easier. It feels like a gentle tap on the shoulder, compared to my old alarm clock which felt more like an emergency siren preparing me for battle.

Every aspect of this clock has been thoughtfully designed. The user interface is intuitive, the tactile feedback from the buttons and knobs is so satisfying, and the build quality is incredible. It’s so well-made that I’m certain this clock will be with me for life. If you’re looking for an alarm clock, this is it. It’s not just an alarm clock; it’s an heirloom you’ll get to pass down for generations.
